Watch this webinar to improve your use of RUSLE2 to evaluate organic and specialty crop systems.
Due to the complex nature of many organic cropping systems, NRCS conservationists may find the use of RUSLE2 to calculate soil loss challenging and organic farmers may question the results. This webinar provides guidance on how soil loss should be calculated by selecting appropriate tillage operations, incorporating manure and compost applications, planning in fields with a diversity of crops, and incorporating cover crops in the rotation. This webinar also provides an update on future RUSLE2 uses for forage record keeping and organic carbon tracking.
This webinar is sponsored by the USDA NRCS East and West National Technology Support Centers.
