Are you a professional forester or resource manager interested in learning more about forest soils and the crucial role they play in our woodlands? If so, you won’t want to miss the upcoming PINEMAP Forest Soils Short Course!
This three part webinar series will kick off a monthly schedule of content aimed at you, the professional forester!
This is the first of an ongoing series of programs, sponsored by PINEMAP, and aimed at professional foresters and landowners in an effort to keep you up informed with relevant, science-backed information.
The first session will offer a brief, but comprehensive refresher on soil basics, including how to identify specific soil types, their specific capacities for supporting plant life, their responses to water and learning the affects (both ecologically and economically) that those soils can have on your property and trees alike.
This course will set the groundwork for an ongoing series on how you can make more informed decisions when it comes to your property, as well understanding the underlying mechanisms that facilitate the the livelihood and resiliency of your crops.
