This webinar provides a description of bat life histories, identification of major threats to bat conservation, and estimation of the environmental and economic costs associated with the loss of over 5.5 million bats due to White-nose Syndrome.
Bats provide critical ecosystem services to America’s farmers and foresters. Although bats face an array of threats, the emergent disease, White-nose Syndrome (WNS), has devastated bat populations in eastern North America and currently poses the greatest threat to bat conservation.
This webinar is sponsored by the USDA NRCS National Wildlife Team at the Central National Technology Support Center.
