In this module, important concepts of potassium management in agricultural systems for profitable crop production will be discussed.

This module is part four in a series of 10 that present information to help the viewer understand calcium and magnesium management. The materials address site specific nutrient management decisions and practices through the context of 4R Nutrient Stewardship (the right nutrient source applied at the right time, the right rate and in the right place). Information is presented on calcium and magnesium as an essential nutrient; calcium and magnesium soil testing; and, calcium and magnesium sources and application.

These materials were created with funds provided by USDA NRCS and The Fertilizer Institute (TFI). The educational modules were created by Iowa State University in cooperation with The Fertilizer Institute (TFI), the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) and USDA NRCS.
