Description: Livestock production basics are presented by field-based, farmer-serving university and producer-organization partners for NRCS staff to better support livestock producers. Description: Participants will learn about two of the five main strategies to solve the problem of wind erosion. These include; increasing growing green vegetation on the soil surface (crop biomass, cover crops, and permanent vegetation) and decreasing the unsheltered distance across the field through decreasing field size, changing field orientation to prevailing winds, and adding windbreaks and other barriers.
Participants will learn about two of the five main strategies to solve the problem of wind erosion. This is the second webinar in a three-part series.
